2 -curiosity e curiosita-
Nota d'usoL'espressione “una curiosità”, usata per introdurre domande di poco conto, non va tradotta letteralmente con a curiosity. La locuzione corretta è just out of curiosity: Just out of curiosity, is there a sauna at the hotel?, una curiosità: c'è la sauna nell'hotel? In alternativa si può usare anche l'espressione by the way: By the way, is there a sauna in the hotel? La locuzione it's a curiosity, invece, significa “è una stranezza”, “è strano”: It's a curiosity, but we don't know them so well at all, è strano, ma non li conosciamo affatto così bene. -
